Real estate links

- This column by Ken Trepeta, the director of Real Estate Services for the National Association of Realtors, lays out a lot of good information about implementing the new Dodd-Frank rules. 

- A RealtyTrac report shows that U.S. Foreclosure activity decreased by 15 percent in November. 

- On Tuesday, the Senate confirmed Rep. Mel Watt, a Democrat from North Carolina, to head the agency overseeing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

St. Louis links

- It's been five years, but the white walls of Forest Park's Planetarium are being lit with color every night by the St. Louis Science Center.


- The Affordable Christmas program, run by Mission St. Louis in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood, is being hit with high demand this year and needs donations. The program offers donated toys to needy families at drastically reduced prices. 

- The NCAA announced yesterday that St. Louis will host eight NCAA Championships in the coming years. The sports hosted will be wrestling, women's gymnastics, bowling and ice hockey.
