Real estate links

- There area  lot of differences in the attitudes of different generations toward homebuying. A recent NAR study showed that the Millennial generation tends to exude optimism and confidence about homeownership.

- Last week, mortgage applications jumped 1 percent after slumping during the period that included Thanksgiving weekend.

- After dipping in September, new home sales rebounded in October, providing more evidence that the housing recovery will continue into the new year.

St. Louis links

- Prepare for even more winter weather. The St. Louis area is expected to get hit with a round of rain, freezing rain and snow today and tomorrow.

- The St. Louis Blues are off to an incredible start this season, but so far the attendance numbers at Scottrade Center have been awful.

- The great Chuck Berry is set to perform for the 200th time in the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill on Jan. 15. General admission is $35 for ages 21 and older.

- This video from WestJet Airline has gone viral the last couple days. Passengers were asked before their flight what they wanted for Christmas and upon landing, to their surprise, they were given those gifts:
