PSP South County Office teams up to make holidays special for Angels' Arms kids

Prudential Select Properties’ South County Office teamed up to try to make the holidays a little more special for six teenagers living in an Angels’ Arms home.

The office had planned on pitching in for a gift for the kids in the home and after consulting with the house mom, found out that a Nintendo Wii or a second laptop for the house was atop their list. The office decided to go all in and purchase both gifts, which were presented to the kids on December 23.

According to the house mom, both gifts have been a big hit! The Wii has provided entertainment for the entire house and the laptop has already been put to great use as three of the teens in the home are bloggers.

“Our office really wanted to give our Angels’ Arms home something these kids could all use throughout the year,” South County Office manager Robin Haynes said. “With six teenagers in the home, we felt between gaming, blogging, school work, etc., that these gifts would make life a little easier and more fun.”

Angels’ Arms is a local charity that formed in 2000 and provides homes for foster and children. The organization has changed the lives of more than 300 children, including more than 90 sibling groups, by providing loving homes and allowing them to thrive in a happy, functional family setting.

Angels’ Arms helps its foster children live normal lives by providing items and experiences like clothing, birthday parties, music lessons, tutoring and more.

In February 2013, PSP announced a partnership with Angels’ Arms. Giving back to the community has long been a part of the company’s mission. PSP and its affiliates adopted the Sunshine Kids Foundation as a network-wide charity in 1991 and has taken an active role in activities and national events designed for the foundation ever since.

Throughout the years, PSP members have participated in many fundraising activities in its local communities, including golf tournaments, auctions, trivia nights and listing programs.
