Sort and Search Outlook 365 Email

Being able to search and sort in Outlook 365 email is very helpful in digging through the mountains of emails we all get. Below are some helpful tips to make your email easier to use and to find things more quickly.

SORTING
You can sort your Inbox a variety of ways: date, from, size, if it has an attachment, importance, etc. You can also sort by Conversation - this keeps back and forth emails with the same subject grouped together.
See the image below for more clarification on sorting.

SEARCHING
Often there is one particular email that you are searching for. And when you have four or five hundred emails to look through, it can be difficult. But the search bar located at the top of the Inbox is very helpful. You can type in a name, a subject, or a keyword and a drop down will appear offering you even more suggestions for your search. Click on the item you want to search from the drop down. Your Inbox will then re-sort with the results of the search.
See the images below for more clarification on searching your O365 Inbox.

When done searching, click Inbox on the left side of the screen or click Outlook at the top of your screen to get back to your Inbox the way it is usually sorted.
